Female Hair Loss - The Several Causes and Solutions

Most females have a hard time facing a possibility that they may lose their hair. However some of this stress can be elevated by learning a few simple facts related to female hair loss. Many times hair loss in woman is just temporary, so finding a solution is relatively easy.



The hereditary form of baldness is call Androgenetic and effect 50 percent of men and woman over 40, Menopause is usually the cause of age related hair loss in woman, and however it is possible that it could start earlier. This is caused by declining estrogen levels. Hormonal changes can cause hair to thin.



It’s interesting to note that unlike men, woman rarely become totally balled, however their hair will thin. Metabolic and hormonal changes are a major cause, and therefore temporary. For example, due to the large amount of oestrogen that is produced, pregnancy may be a reason for hair loss. However, the hair loss will be temporary and should stop 6 months after birth or so. Nothing can really be done to help stop hair loss during this time, but using hair tonic to help re-growth can help.



Hair loss can also be caused by raped weight loss that’s caused by many crash diets.


Stress, both emotional and physical, can also be a cause of hair loss. It usually only happens after an extended period of time. Hair loss should stop, once your life gets back to normal and the stress is eliminated. Therefore reducing stress can also help in your battle against hair loss.



Drugs can also be a contributor to hair loss. Chemotherapy is the most common of these treatments. The medication will attack the hair cells, causing hair to fall out. Certain prescription drugs and diet supplements can also cause hair loss. Hair loss problems should disappear, if you stop taking these drugs.
